We hope everyone had a good Christmas! We now look forward to the year 2022!
For some time now, memes have been floating around about this upcoming year saying how it sounds like 202-2, and while it does sound just like that I personally am looking forward to the new year. January has always been one of my personal favorite months. I have looked at January as a chance to renew myself and recommit myself to following through with the goals I have set in previous years; determined to finally follow through this time only to let myself down around March as I loose the steam I had the first week of January. We have decided to look at this year differently and have broken down the year and instead of setting goals for the year we are setting goals month by month.
Personally, I find that I can keep a goal for a month; that’s the easy part. Saying that I want to lose 50 lbs., or I want to read 4 books over 500 pages, or I want to be jogging 6 miles a day by year’s end, or you’ll say hi to one person a day this upcoming year can be a daunting task to many people myself included. Saying I want to lose 5-10 lbs. or jog around the block by the end of January is much easier to accomplish.
When I started thinking of what personal goals I wanted to have for the end of the year I started like I always do – what do I want to have accomplished by the end of the year and how am I going to reach it? I set a main goal but instead of stopping there I broke the goal down by months (and I went even further and broke it down by weeks).
I would encourage anyone and everyone to take a look at the new year as a new start to a new you… and remember to K.I.S.S (Keep it Super Simple!)… that’s what we’re all about!
